Charming Holiday Home near Carlux | Les Parmeries Dordogne. We are a private 12 acre estate with no immediate neighbours overlooking the Dordogne Valley and river, surrounded by our oak forests and parkland, offering a unique location in complete tranquility.
Relax in nature at Les Parmeries — your peaceful gîte near Carlux, Dordogne. Ideal for couples & cyclists exploring Périgord Noir. Located just 15 minutes from the historic town of Sarlat, 12 minutes from Souillac and a short walk from the picturesque village of Carlux. This is a beautiful part of the Dordogne with magnificent culture, history, rolling hills and countryside. A perfect holiday escape!
At Les Parmeries we have created a retreat in a tranquil haven away from the crowds. We are a private secluded location from where one can explore this enchanting region of the Dordogne, also known as Périgord Noir.
The area is famous for highly prized black truffles, local cuisine and a wide choice of restaurants and bars. Complimented by warm and welcoming locals, cultural and food festivals, beautiful villages, swimming and canoeing in the Dordogne River, walking the trails, cycling like the Tour de France and UNESCOs Heritage sites to explore, such as the Lascaux caves.
Our mission is to provide an oasis of tranquility and relaxation, a true escape from the fast pace of life allowing guests, friends and family the opportunity to reconnect, recharge and have fun!
Cottages With Character
Following a year of renovations we are delighted to offer three individually appointed cottages (gites), all with new fully fitted kitchens and new bathrooms.
Vine Cottage (Gite) with views over our forest and parkland offers two ensuite bedrooms both with super king-sized beds. The ground floor bedroom has direct garden access, and the bedroom on the first floor offers two additional single beds if required. There is a newly installed fully fitted kitchen along with a dining and lounge area. Additionally there is a private terrace equipped with a gas BBQ, dinning table and relaxing chairs. The cottage has access to the shared pool (mid May to October).
Oak Cottage (Gite) with views over our forest offers one ensuite bedroom with a king-sized bed. Additionally there is a separate lounge and a dinning area. This cottage also benefits from a newly installed fully fitted kitchen. There is a private terrace area with a gas BBQ, dining table, relaxing chairs and your very own pizza oven. The cottage has access to the shared pool (mid May to October).
River View Cottage (Gite) overlooking the Dordogne Valley with incredible river views offers one ensuite bedroom with a king-sized bed. Additionally there is a separate lounge dining area with a newly installed fully fitted kitchen. There is a private terrace deck with views over the Dordogne Valley and river equipped with a gas BBQ and dining area. The cottage has access to shared pool (mid May to October). From the front of the cottage there are views over to the famous Chateau Fenelon located 4 kilometers south.
Exclusive Use - The cottages can be individually booked for a minimum of seven nights. Alternatively a group of friends and family can benefit from an exclusive use experience taking over all three gites for up to 12 guests. The exclusive use experience would also allow access for the group to the pizza oven (a fantastic evening experience) and bar area (called The Dog House), which has been created in our mini historic tower.
Other amenities for guests include a large shared inground heated swimming pool (open mid May to October), assess to the entire 12 acre estate ideal for picnicking, exploring or simply relaxing under a tree or in a hammock.
Attractions nearby include canoe hire, bicycle hire, river swimming, hot air ballooning, nightly food festivals, local town markets, Chateaus the explore, high ropes and much more.
